Goals & Objectives

Utilize NASA funds to serve students and teachers in the State of Delaware in a variety of educational and training projects in areas which are related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). At the college level, provide fellowships and scholarships to students attending 2-year and 4-year colleges throughout the State and to aid in professional development of STEM-related educators. Enhance research opportunities on and off-campus, during the academic year and summer. Recruit and provide support for the education and training of professionals especially women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities for careers in fields which will meet NASA’s needs in the 21st century.

DESGC’s long-term objective is to encourage students in the State of Delaware to consider careers in fields related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our goal is to provide financial support for the training of students in STEM-related academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. DESGC is also committed to aiding in the professional development of STEM-related educators at the precollege level so that independent of career choices, students in Delaware will be enriched with a broad understanding of science.
