NASA EPSCoR EONS ISS Announcement: Request for Preproposals

NASA has issued an EPSCoR Engagement Opportunities in NASA STEM (EONS) announcement for an International Space Station (ISS) Flight Opportunity. Delaware has an opportunity to submit one proposal for potential funding. Awards will be up to $150,000, expended over three years, and with no cost share requirement. The solicitation is for current or previously funded EPSCoR projects or other research projects that are mature enough to design a research experiment or develop research experimental hardware to the point that it can be safely flown on the ISS.

All interested researchers at Delaware institutions of higher education are invited to submit a preproposal that will be used to determine which full proposal will be submitted to NASA for this year’s competition. The full proposal will be expected to establish research activities that will make significant contributions to NASA’s strategic research and technology development priorities and contribute to the overall research infrastructure, science and technology capabilities, higher education, and economic development of the jurisdiction.

If interested, please plan to submit a 2-page preproposal to DESpaceGrant@udel.edu by June 2, 2025. The selected researcher’s full proposal is due to NASA on August 1, 2025.
