offers courses for teachers throughout the year.

Launching a Dream is the continuation of an annual, statewide, program in its sixteenth, consecutive year. The purpose of STS 716-D is to show that
Aerospace Education is a highly motivating framework for integrating Science, Math, Technology and Career Choices into the curriculum.

In operation since 1990, the objective of the Delaware Aerospace Academy is to provide hands-on training and experiences in
aerospace-related activities and fields. Throughout the week, girls and boys in grades 2 - 10 are continually challenged to think,
design, solve, build, and work cooperatively. All academies are designed to integrate the study of science, technology,
engineering and mathematics using Earth and Space themes as the unifying framework.

The primary goal of the Flight Simulator Program is to reduce and in some instances eliminate those barriers thus enabling an experienced
group of elementary teachers from elementary schools in Delaware (Brader, Brittingham, Heritage, Lake Forest North, North Laurel, North Dover,
North Georgetown, Rehoboth and West Park Place) to utilize Aviation as part of their long term, inquiry science, technology and career instruction.

In partnership with the Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation the DESGC sponsors the Rockets for Delaware programing which enables
students to design, construct and launch rockets. Events feature feature displays, launches of canister, bottle, single stage,
advanced and 2 impressive high altitude rockets, plus kite and helicopter demonstrations.

The purpose of the symposium is to highlight resources, opportunities and activities and to provide a network that will enhance
and enrich classroom, standards-based experiences. All sessions emphasize the very latest and current information.
The symposium is held periodically and is sponsored by DASEF, Delaware Aerospace Education and the Delaware Space Grant Consortium. |
